The Chef is often the most popular person on the island. The cuisine focuses on healthy, tasty meals, with lots of fresh vegetables, hearty soups and delicious multi-dish dinners. The Cook House is culinary central and is where three meals a day are served (included in the retreat fee (see Rooms and Rates)). Breakfast is served in the morning between 8-9. Lunches feature varied fare, often featuring soups, salads, sandwiches, snacks, veggies, breads, meats and/or cheeses, served mid-day. A bell rings in dinner hour around 6:30pm.
